Social Media: Word is you’re nothing without it… “Hurry and jump on the social media bandwagon before you get left behind!” Well hold your horses. While it’s true that social media is a great place to focus your marketing efforts (being that it’s where everyone seems to be spending all of their time and money these days), you needn’t put all your eggs in one basket. What we mean is simply that you can tweet, post, share and update until the cows come home, but no matter how active you are on social networks, your website is something you can’t afford to neglect. After all, stop and think what we use social media for… to bring traffic back to our websites.

In addition to social media, you should also be using SEM (Search Engine Marketing) to drive traffic to your site. By creating various PPC (Pay Per Click) campaigns with Google Adwords, this should be a piece of cake. But what good will it do you when consumers click on your ad, get to your site and the design and content are outdated? You might as well watch your business go down the drain in less than a New York minute.
