In the past six months, Ilfusion has been lucky enough to hire two awesome account managers who fit in perfectly with the rest of our amazingly talented and quirky team. With our steady growth in clients as well as employees, we’ve quickly witnessed firsthand the benefits of having them. We’ve also learned that the job of an account manager is not for the faint of heart, mainly due to its demand for potent organizational and people skills.<\/p>\n
Often the main or only point of contact, our account managers speak to our clients as the voice of Ilfusion, obviously establishing the importance of their people skills and professionalism to reflect a positive portrayal of our company. They also act as a liaison between the client and our production team, making communication easier for both parties.<\/p>\n
In addition, the account manager’s organizational skills are a great asset for delegating and keeping track of current and future projects. This is where having a strong heart and thick skin comes in. Communication between client and company is key to the run of a successful project. Without it, chaos can and usually does ensue. While things don’t always go as perfectly as we’d like, it’s the account manager’s job to stay focused and see the project and client through.<\/p>\n
Then there’s all the “little things” that may not seem like much but are actually just as important as the “big things.” These may be things like scheduling internal meetings (on top of scheduling client meetings), emailing the client for questions the production team may need answered, and fitting quick project edits that a client may request into a busy schedule to be performed in a timely manner.<\/p>\n
